Sell Out Copy #39 - November 26, 2009
Hidden Site Features-
Here are a few things that you may not have noticed on TwistedJenius.com.
At the bottom of many of our pages, you'll notice that we have the Twisted Jenius Sayings. They all begin with "TwistedJenius.com:"
and continue with some sort of sarcastic, disturbing or irrelevant comment about the site or the business. Although you could
just look at all of the pages on our site, if you want to be really lazy about it; you can find a list of all of the sayings
here. Incidentally, we also have a poster that you can purchase which features many of the sayings.
This leads me to our next item, which is the Easter eggs
which we have featured here on the site. Usually these come in the form of a thumbnail image towards the top, right hand corner
of the site's pages. But here's the trick, the only ones that work like this are the images on the main pages (the main Welcome,
Leisure, Evil Rant, etc. pages).
You'll also notice that just below the list of Sell Out Copies, on this very page, we have a "custom search" tool, which will
allow you to locate any sinister topics on this site that you wish. And last, but certainly not least, we also have metallic
Donate buttons on the bottoms of all of our pages.
All payments are done through PayPal and we encourage you to use this feature generously.
These are just a few of the lesser know elements of TwistedJenius.com. I will probably point out a few more in a future Sell
Out Copy. As you can see, we are a site that is very passionate about the details.

Comical Cartoon Villains-
As you know, I love cartoons. I also love weird humor. So it should go without saying that I like humorous animation that features
Super Villains. Here are three of my all time favorite cartoons that can be placed in this category.
The first series that comes to mind is The Tick. I remember getting
up early Saturday mornings to watch it when it played on Fox, during its original run. The Tick is a hilarious series and the
villains are even more over the top than the heroes. The Tick is the first piece of work in which I recall ever seeing the notion
of a superhero/villain lifestyle being explored in this way (I liked the idea of that group of heroes, just hanging out in a
diner, in full costume; casually chatting). In a strange way, The Tick is one of the earliest of the many inspirations that led
to Twisted Jenius. I should also add that the title of each Villains
& Heroes comic ("someone" versus "someone" else) is a little homage to the title of each Tick episode.
Next on the list is Freakazoid; another very
funny superhero show with equally entertaining villains. This show featured some very witty and outrageous humor. And aside from
being very enjoyable, it also lays claim to the distinction of introducing one of my favorite words to the public at large: "Toyetic". I just love sleazy marketing and media terms like
that.
Finally, we have a late comer to the cannon of cartoon villainy;
The Venture Bros. This series features a variety of interesting villains
and even an organization, a kind of super villain union, called "The Guild of Calamitous Intent". The Venture Bros. is very edgy,
surprisingly complex and has a lot of dry humor. It airs on Cartoon Network's [adult
swim] block; check it out! Of course there are many other
cartoon villains; but these just happen to be some of my favorites.

Evil Business-
Since my latest rant concerned the topic of business
villains, I thought it might be appropriate to tie that in with this Sell Out Copy (it creates brand-synergy).
First up is a site dedicated to teaching you about creative entrepreneurship, called
Evil Businessman. From their site: "Evil Businessman is dedicated to helping creative entrepreneurs with the business
of creativity in a visual, simple to understand and creatively relevant fashion." Hmmm... creative entrepreneur or evil businessman;
I'm not sure which term I like more (alright, who am I kidding, we all know exactly which one I like more; but my point is that
the term "creative entrepreneur" is kind of appealing, as well).
And for those of you who are in the market for something a little less serious and a lot more entertaining, we have The Evil Genius Guide to Business. This program promises to teach you how to "Fight, Maim, And Murder Your
Way To Success In Business". What else more could you want?

Interview-
As a quick update, I'd like to direct you to an interview that I did last month with Napalm Nick.
You might remember him as one of the bloggers that I mentioned in the previous Sell Out Copy. He asked me some good questions
and I had a very good time with the whole thing. For anyone who would like to know more about me and what went into creating
Twisted Jenius, this is a definite must-read!

Blogs That I Follow-
Although we've probably featured about a dozen villain blogs within these Sell Out Copies, I thought that I would take this opportunity
to share some of the non villain blogs that I personally follow, just because I can.
The first is by a friend of mine, Napalm Nick. He posts on a variety
of topics and often has some insightful criticism on a myriad of subjects. His blog is definitely well above average and often
has a good amount of depth and insightfulness to it. It's also fun! In addition, I'd like to thank him for a recent post in which he provided some links to Twisted Jenius. Thanks Nick!
The next blog is called Degenerate Diatribe and was created
by a gentleman who is extremely opinionated and describes himself as having a degree in "cold hearted cynicism and jaded, bitter
intolerance". He's also an excellent writer! He can be a little extreme, but if you're into something a bit more "gritty"; then
check him out.
Now we come to Diabologue: The Very Exciting Chronicles of Matt G. Paradise.
MGP is a high ranking representative of the Church of Satan and has
had his website continuously online since 1997. As for his blog's content, he says: "I post items of interest to me. Some of
those include Satanism, technology, horror movies, the human condition, podcasting, missteps of the God religions, and, of course,
each and every one of my own media creations." He also posts daily!
Lastly we have a blog by Dr Karl Shuker. He is one of the best known cryptozoologists in the world and ShukerNature is his cryptozoological blog. I know that I have mentioned that there was a time when I was
very much into this topic and although I am not as enthusiastic as I once was; I still like reading about it.
These are a few of the miscellaneous blogs that I like to follow. I'll probably give you a list of entertainment blogs that I
enjoy in a future Sell Out Copy.

Wrong Side of Art-
If you have read my Entertainment vs. Art rant, then
you know that I don't consider myself an artist. However, it occurs to me that my desire to disassociate myself with art might
be as a result of always being on the wrong side of it.
As you might have gathered from looking around this site, I enjoy certain types of commercial or lowbrow art. This includes anime,
comics and, of course, movie posters.
I thought that I would share with you, my valued readers, a few of my all time favorite movie posters. Perhaps this will give
you some insight into the aesthetic tastes that have gone into creating Twisted Jenius.
Of course there are many more that I am fond of (including virtually all 1980s Horror movie posters). However, these ones stick
out in my mind, not only because I really like the posters; but because I've greatly enjoyed each of these movies as well!

Villain Blogs-
One of the essential functions of the Sell Out Copy is to connect you, my dear reader, with villainous goings on around the web.
With that in mind, I would like to present you with a couple of villain blogs which I've recently happened across.
This first one is called Embrace the Malignance and is a villain
blog in the truest sense. The emerging Metavillain, who is responsible for this blog was good (or evil) enough to provide a link
to Twisted Jenius from his page, and so I thought that I would return the favor. Lord Malignance has some interesting thoughts
to share and presents himself in an extremely Villainesque manner.
Next we have the International Society of SuperVillains. This is a humorous
and somewhat edgy blog, which seems to have an emphasis on various types of entertainment (though they do cover other things
as well). The ISS updates its blog very frequently and has multiple villainous contributors. Not too shabby.
When we first started Twisted Jenius in 2006, I predicted that villainy would become an increasingly common topic of interest
in subculture. It looks as though my prediction is transpiring nicely. I suspect that we will be seeing more villainy on the
web as time goes on. And you can count on the Sell Out Copy, here on TwistedJenius.com, to deliver it right into your dark clutches.
We find the evil on the Internet, so you don't have to!

Furnishing Your Evil Lair-
It's not always easy to find tasteful Villainesque home décor. Sure you could decorate your lair with Halloween decorations all year long, and that is fine, if that's what you're into. However, there are alternatives.
One of the most obvious of these is the Villain Chair.
This sinister seat just screams "I'm plotting world domination" (fluffy white cat sold separately).
Although not actively evil, the Topdeq company offers
furniture which could definitely be considered Villainesque. With their industrial style, glass and chrome desks and tables,
their black leather sofas and chairs, and their quazi-futuristic accessories; Topdeq's offerings are definitely suited to any
sophisticated villain's lair.
And if these pieces of interior design are too subtle and you're afraid that people won't realized what a truly evil individual
are; you could always add a little something
to spell it out for them.

Movie Villain Quotes-
Here are just a few of my all time favorite quotes by movie villains. Enjoy!
"Evil will always prevail, because good is dumb." - Dark Helmet, Spaceballs
"Do I look like someone who cares what God thinks?" - Pinhead, Hellraiser: Bloodline
"If you take away the horror of the scene, take away the tragedy of the death, take away all the moral and ethical implications
that have been drilled into your head since grade one, do you know what you're left with? A 105-pound problem that needs to be
moved from point A to point B." - Boyd, Very Bad Things
Ed Harley: "God damn you! God damn you!"
Haggis: "He already has, son. He already has." - Pumpkinhead
"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence
of the evolutionary spirit." - Gordon Gekko, WallStreet
"I like being bad. It makes me happy." - Venom, Spiderman 3
"The young carpenter from Nazareth? I know him well. Promising young man. He died badly." - Leland Gaunt, Needful Things
"You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have frickin' sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their frickin'
heads!" - Doctor Evil, Austin Powers
Well that's all of the evil character quotes that I have time for now; I have to go return some videotapes.

More Evil Internet Links-
The dark forces continue to extend their reach over the web and I think that we have found another site which is very villainous.
Villainsource is exactly the type of web site that I love.
It's entertaining, humorous and stacked to the mutated gills with evil content. This is the sort of site that I feel really inspires
a Villainesque outlook. The Preserved Brain of Josef Mengele (the web master of this site) obviously had way too much fun creating
this "source for everything evil" and I for one am glad that he did! You can expect to find this site included in our Villain Links shortly.
And on a slightly different note, we have a site about stock market speculation. Evil stock market speculation! Evil Speculator is a serious financial blog, giving you "short term market updates several times a week"
and they do it with an evil theme. I admit that I'm not into financial markets very much at all, but I do know that evil and
money go nicely together. And since everyone is so eager to demonize the fine folks on Wall Street; having "evil" speculators
around seems appropriate. But don't worry, the authors of this site assure us that they are only evil during trading hours.
