Even the most die hard fans of Carol Stone are often unaware that she had a cameo in the twelfth episode of The Snail Factory. Appearing for two frames as the whetstone that catches Elliot's attention, Ms. Stone's appearance on set was not without its difficulties. Elliot Razorhead appeared drunk on the day of production and made advances which Ms. Stone did not return or find the least bit amusing. A hardened actor of the old school, Razorhead fell into a depressive state for several months after. Efengi too was enamored with the actress, as was the author who fared the best of her suitors and having divorced his wife of 17 years, married Ms. Stone for three days in January of 1944, by far her longest marriage.
